How can we be truly blessed and confident before God—now and on the day of judgment?”

Merciful and Heavenly Father,

You created us for true blessedness and lasting joy, and You have given us Your holy Word as the sure path of life.

By Your gracious Spirit, turn our hearts away from sinful desires and corrupt influences. Keep us from the counsel of the wicked and the path that leads to death.

Plant us firmly in Christ, the truly Righteous One, that we might delight in Your law and bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit in season.

Guard us under Your faithful care, and give us a settled confidence—not in ourselves, but in Your steadfast grace.

And when Your Son, Jesus Christ, returns in glory to judge the living and the dead, grant that we may be found among His flock not by our works, but redeemed by His blood, clothed in His righteousness, and welcomed into everlasting life.
