Our Church: A Movement or a Monument?

How important it is for us to prioritize our relationship with Jesus Christ… to experience His love and to love Him deeply in return!  Nothing arrests the movement of the gospel and leads a church to become a monument than losing your first love. This happened at  Christ’s church in the ancient city of Ephesus (see the picture below).

Here’s what the Holy Spirit says to this church via the Apostle John: “Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.” (Revelation 2:4-5a)

Ephesus

This church in Revelation 2:1-7 stands as a monument to remind us that one of the greatest competitor of loyalty to Jesus is serving Him.
