True Greatness in God’s Kingdom

Luke 22:24–30

Ambition and pride lie deep within every human heart. Even those who seem humble often struggle when others are honored above them. Envy and jealousy reveal how much we prize our own worth instead of rejoicing in God’s work through others.

Jesus redefines greatness. The world prizes power and position, but in His kingdom, greatness is found in humility and service. “Whoever would be great among you must become as the one who serves.” True heroes in Christ’s army are not those with titles or influence, but those who gladly do any task to bless others—comforting the broken, lifting the poor, and serving the weary for His sake.

Prayer:

Lord, teach us Your standard of greatness. Free us from pride and self-promotion. Make us humble servants who find joy in exalting others and advancing Your kingdom. For true greatness comes through humility and service. Amen.
