Your inheritance in Christ is not measured in acres but in grace. Israel looked forward to receiving a land flowing with milk and honey, but every promise of that inheritance ultimately pointed to something greater—Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, He has secured for His people an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade.
Because you belong to Christ, your sins are forgiven, you have been adopted into God’s family, and the Holy Spirit has been given as the guarantee of your eternal inheritance. Best of all, God Himself is your portion. The greatest gift of the gospel is not simply heaven—it is Christ. One day you will dwell with Him in the new creation, where sin, sorrow, and death will be no more.
Until then, live as an heir of the King. Hold loosely to the fading treasures of this world and cling tightly to the One who gave everything to make you His own. Your future is secure, your inheritance is certain, and your Savior is worthy of your deepest affection.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again… to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.” — 1 Peter 1:3–4
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for purchasing an eternal inheritance for me through Your death and resurrection. Keep my heart from clinging to the fading treasures of this world, and teach me to treasure You above all else. Fill me with joyful hope as I await the day I will see You face to face. Help me live each day as Your faithful heir, reflecting Your grace and glory until You return. In Your precious name, Amen.
